 On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, His Excellency Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director General of Emirates Health Services (EHS), reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering commitment to enhancing mental health services across the UAE. Dr. Al Serkal emphasized that EHS is dedicated to offering comprehensive, integrated mental health support to all members of the community, backed by various initiatives that cater to different age groups and segments of society.

Dr. Al Serkal highlighted the significant strides Emirates Health Services has made in developing advanced therapeutic services that meet global standards, particularly through the adoption of cutting-edge technology to address mental health challenges. He also underscored that EHS has been recognized internationally, including receiving the prestigious International Hospital Federation Award in Corporate Social Responsibility for its community mental health program.

Furthermore, Dr. Al Serkal stressed that mental health care is not just a healthcare priority but also a key investment in a sustainable future. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, he noted, requires collaboration across sectors to create environments conducive to mental well-being. In line with The National Policy for the Promotion of Mental Health in the UAE and the vision of the country's leadership, EHS will continue to drive efforts towards a healthier, more prosperous future for all citizens.
