Dar Global Capital Partners explores Dubai-focused real estate fund
Dar Global Capital Partners (DGCP), the alternative asset management arm of London-listed developer Dar Global, is exploring a Dubai-focused real estate fund as part of its international investment strategy spanning the GCC, Europe, the UK and the US.
The DIFC-based, Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA)-regulated firm said its investment mandate will focus on high-value real estate opportunities, with an emphasis on disciplined capital deployment, downside protection and long-term value creation.
DGCP operates independently from the Dubai International Financial Centre and connects global private wealth and institutional investors with prime real estate assets.
The firm said Dubai’s position as an international wealth and business hub has prompted it to assess opportunities for a dedicated investment vehicle focused on the emirate.
Its investment framework across target markets prioritises attractive entry valuations, structural downside protection and active value creation through asset repositioning and operational improvements.
Ziad El Chaar appointed chairman
DGCP announced the appointment of Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global PLC, as chairman of the asset management platform.
The appointment is intended to strengthen governance and align DGCP’s investment activities with Dar Global’s international development portfolio.
The announcement follows a period of expansion for Dar Global, which recently upgraded to the Equity Shares (Commercial Companies) category on the London Stock Exchange.
The company’s global portfolio has also expanded to $23 billion in gross development value (GDV).
El Chaar said Dar Global had built an international platform serving investors from more than 125 nationalities.
He said DGCP represents the next step in providing investors with access to cross-border real estate opportunities through a regulated investment structure and a value-oriented approach.
El Chaar added that the firm would pursue acquisitions in major global cities while assessing Dubai’s potential for targeted capital deployment.
DGCP targets institutional and private wealth investors
Dar Global Capital Partners provides asset management and advisory services for sovereign, institutional and ultra-high-net-worth investors across international markets.
The firm said its strategy is designed to identify real estate opportunities while managing investment risks through disciplined acquisition decisions and active asset management.
Its cross-border mandate covers the GCC, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States, with Dubai among the markets under consideration for focused investment.
