UAE Federal Tax Authority invites public feedback at second Emirates Majalis session in Dubai
The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has called on UAE residents, customers and stakeholders to share feedback and suggestions to help improve tax services, simplify procedures and enhance the customer experience.
The call was made by Abdulaziz Al Mulla, Director General of the FTA, during the Authority’s second Emirates Majalis session, held at Al Barsha Majlis in Dubai.
The meeting was organised under the Emirates Majalis initiative, launched earlier this year under the slogan “Closer to Each Other”. The initiative aims to establish regular channels of direct communication with different segments of society and stakeholders involved in the UAE tax system.
The sessions provide a platform for community members to raise enquiries, discuss challenges related to tax transactions and share suggestions for improving services, procedures and transparency.
Al Mulla said public feedback would support the Authority’s efforts to redesign services and implement the third cycle of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which focuses on improving efficiency, quality and flexibility while simplifying and reducing procedures.
FTA discusses tax services for UAE Nationals
During the session, Al Mulla highlighted the importance of continuous engagement with the public and involving stakeholders in the development of tax systems and procedures.
He said the Authority welcomes feedback and suggestions from all segments of society to support the sustainable improvement of its services.
The meeting also addressed several topics relevant to UAE Nationals, including the role of Emirati tax agents in developing the tax system, procedures for reclaiming Value Added Tax (VAT) incurred on the construction of UAE Nationals’ homes, and guidance for Emirati entrepreneurs operating small and medium-sized businesses.
Al Mulla reaffirmed the FTA’s commitment to strengthening trust and communication with the community, saying direct dialogue helps the Authority understand citizens’ needs and develop services that meet their expectations.
He added that the Authority aims to provide proactive and integrated services through continued engagement with customers and the wider community.
