Sharjah Digital Integration Committee Advances Government Transformation and Cross-Sector Collaboration

The Higher Committee for Digital Integration in Sharjah has held its third meeting, reinforcing the emirate's commitment to accelerating digital transformation, enhancing government integration, and building a future-ready digital ecosystem across strategic sectors.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, and attended by committee members and representatives from various government entities.

Focus on Strengthening Digital Government

The session highlighted Sharjah's ongoing efforts to advance digital integration among government departments, improve service delivery, and enable seamless data exchange across entities.

Committee members reviewed progress on key digital transformation initiatives implemented across the emirate and examined major achievements since the previous meeting. Discussions also focused on emerging national and global trends influencing the future of digital government, including the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies.

Participants explored how these technologies can enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, improve decision-making processes, and elevate the quality of government services.

New Digital Transformation Plans for Business and Real Estate Sectors

A key agenda item was the review of proposed digital transformation strategies for the business sector and the construction and real estate sector.

The initiatives are based on specialised studies that examine the complete lifecycle of services within each sector. The studies aim to redesign customer journeys from a user-centric perspective, simplify procedures, strengthen intergovernmental collaboration, and deliver more efficient and seamless service experiences.

The proposed transformation plans are expected to generate measurable benefits for businesses, investors, developers, and residents across the emirate.

Enhancing Economic Competitiveness Through Digital Integration

The Committee discussed the Business Sector Digital Transformation Project, which is being developed in collaboration with several stakeholders, including the Higher Committee for Economic Integration and the Department of Economic Development.

Discussions focused on creating a more integrated framework for economic and investment-related services while improving coordination between government entities.

The initiative aims to support business growth, streamline regulatory processes, and strengthen Sharjah's position as a competitive destination for investment and entrepreneurship.

Streamlining Construction and Real Estate Services

The Committee also reviewed progress on the Construction and Real Estate Sector Digital Transformation Project, which involves cooperation between several government entities, including:

  1. The Department of Municipal Affairs
  2. Sharjah City Municipality
  3. The Department of Town Planning and Survey
  4. The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department

The project seeks to enhance integration between government entities, digital platforms, and sector-specific services while leveraging existing digital infrastructure to simplify procedures and improve service efficiency.

Officials noted that stronger digital connectivity across the sector will contribute to faster service delivery, improved customer experiences, and more effective government operations.

Driving Sharjah's Digital Future

The Higher Committee for Digital Integration continues to play a central role in implementing Sharjah's digital transformation agenda by fostering collaboration, aligning strategic priorities, and accelerating high-impact initiatives across government entities.

Through the integration of digital services, unified technological platforms, and enhanced data-sharing capabilities, the Committee aims to build a comprehensive digital government ecosystem that supports sustainable development, innovation, and long-term economic growth across the emirate.

The latest meeting reflects Sharjah's continued focus on embracing advanced technologies and creating a more connected, efficient, and future-ready government environment.
