On the second day of Road To Paris Summit Vice Chairman of the DSCE meets French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy
The delegation of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) headed by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Council and MD and CEO of DEWA and Chairman of World Green Economy Summit (WGES), continued its visit to the French capital Paris and met with HE Sgolne Royal, French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy.
The meeting was attended by Waleed Salman, Vice Chairman of the WGES 2015, Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Chairman of the Sales and Logistic Committee of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2015(, Abdulnasser Abbas, Senior Director of Treasury at DEWA, and Ahmed Abdullah, Senior Manager External Communication at DEWA.
At the meeting, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer thanked the French Minister for the warm welcome, briefing HE Sgolne Royal on the Green Economy Report, which was launched during The Road To Paris The World Summit of Regions for Climate (R20 Summit). His Excellency also, gave her a copy of the Report, which she welcomed as it contains important topics. The Report is one of the key outcomes of the WGES 2014.
In addition, Al Tayer presented both DSCE and DEWA strategies as well as a number of DEWAs mega projects, including the M Station Expansion Project, the Independent Power Producer (IPP) Project at Hassyan to produce electricity using clean coal technology, and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. Al Tayer also explored the initiatives and investment opportunities in Dubai, calling for the French companies to participate in them. The French side expressed interest and willingness to participate in these projects.
Al Tayer invited also the French side to participate in the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) that will be held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, next April in conjunction with the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2015). French companies were invited to promote investment opportunities in Dubai and to participate in WETEX 2015. Al Tayers invitation was welcomed by the French Minister, who emphasised the importance of promoting collaboration with DSCE and DEWA. At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged trophies.
