Saudi German Health and Megamind Sign MoU at Arab Health 2025 to Transform Healthcare Delivery with Advanced HIS and Cybersecurity
Saudi German Health (SGH), the largest healthcare group in the MENA region, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Megamind to transform healthcare delivery in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration focuses on the advanced implementation of the Health Information System (HIS) and enhancing cybersecurity measures across SGH facilities through the ‘SGH KSA Cybersecurity’ project.
The MoU was signed during the third day of Arab Health 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre by Madani Hozaien, Group CFO at SGH, and Hamza Sobhi Batterjee, President/CEO of Megamind IT Solutions. This partnership highlights SGH's ongoing commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and patient-centric care, while setting new benchmarks for healthcare in the region.
Makarem Batterjee, Vice Chairman of SGH, stated: “We are thrilled to launch the Intersystem HIS Implementation project at Saudi German Hospital (SGH) in KSA. This initiative aligns with SGH’s vision to advance healthcare innovation and excellence. By utilizing Intersystem’s cutting-edge HIS solutions, we aim to create a seamless, human-centric healthcare ecosystem. Additionally, the ‘SGH KSA Cybersecurity’ project will strengthen our digital infrastructure, ensuring robust security across all healthcare systems.”
The HIS implementation is designed to optimize patient care workflows, integrate advanced health information technologies, improve data accuracy, and enhance patient outcomes. At the same time, the SGH KSA Cybersecurity project focuses on reinforcing SGH’s digital security infrastructure with multiple measures, including the installation of a Web Application Firewall (WAF), remote access systems, Data Centre Firewall, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC).
These cybersecurity efforts aim to ensure the safety of sensitive healthcare data, optimize system performance, and guarantee business continuity in the face of disruptions, ensuring a secure, efficient experience for all users.
This strategic partnership promises to elevate the regional healthcare landscape by integrating state-of-the-art technology and robust cybersecurity solutions, ensuring that patient safety and data protection remain the highest priorities.
