Musco Opens New Manufacturing Facility in Saudi Arabia to Expand Regional Production

Musco has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the opening of a 34,000-square-metre manufacturing facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, supporting the Kingdom's growing investment in sports infrastructure and recreational development.

The new facility will manufacture advanced lighting solutions for projects ranging from community sports fields to major stadiums across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

New Facility Boosts Local Manufacturing

Located in Dammam, the site features a 5,600-square-metre building comprising manufacturing and office space, alongside a 34,000-square-metre (six-acre) yard dedicated to shipping, receiving and inventory operations.

The facility represents Musco's first manufacturing plant in the Middle East, expanding the company's regional capabilities and strengthening its support for large-scale infrastructure projects.

The Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) and MODON, the authority overseeing industrial cities and technology zones, supported the establishment of the facility by assisting with industrial site selection, licensing procedures and regulatory approvals.

Supporting Saudi Arabia's Sports Vision

Jeff Rogers, CEO of Musco, said the investment reflects the company's commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia's vision for sports and recreation.

He said the company is particularly proud to contribute to youth recreation projects, noting that sports facilities help young people develop valuable life skills while supporting healthier communities.

Manufacturing Milestones Achieved

Production at the Dammam facility is already underway, with the company achieving several key milestones during 2026.

In March, the factory produced its first electrical component enclosure, which will be installed at the King Abdulaziz Horse Center in Riyadh. The factory-assembled, pre-wired cabinet houses drivers and control systems that form an integral part of Musco's Light-Structure System™ lighting poles.

In June, the facility manufactured its first lighting fixtures, marking the start of full-scale production.

Rogers said the new plant significantly expands Musco's manufacturing capabilities and strengthens its ability to serve customers across the Middle East.

Expanding Presence in Saudi Arabia

Musco has already delivered lighting solutions for several landmark projects in Saudi Arabia, including:

Jeddah Corniche Circuit
King Fahd Sports City Stadium
King Abdulaziz Equestrian
Al Jawhara Stadium

The company is also supporting the Saudi Arabian Football Federation as preparations continue for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, which Saudi Arabia will host.

Focus on Youth Football Development

As part of its partnership with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Musco commissioned a Musco Mini-Pitch™ modular football facility at Al-Samhaniah Field in Diriyah in February.

Designed for communities with limited space, each Mini-Pitch™ system provides a safe playing environment and is capable of serving an average of 10,000 children annually.

The company plans to develop additional Mini-Pitch™ facilities across the Kingdom to further support youth football participation and community recreation.
