Samsung’s 2024 Neo QLED and QLED TVs Earn Industry-First Picture Quality Certifications from VDE

Samsung Electronics has announced that seven models from its 2024 Neo QLED and QLED TV lineup are the first in the industry to receive the True Cinema Black and HDR Brightness Accuracy certifications from the Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), a prominent German electrical engineering certification body.

The HDR Brightness Accuracy certification assures that these models reproduce HDR brightness levels with precision, delivering ultra-realistic images that enhance both bright and dark areas for a truly immersive experience. Meanwhile, the True Cinema Black certification underscores the TVs' superior local dimming performance, which eliminates light blooming and ensures deep, immersive black levels.

Yongjae Kim, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, expressed pride in these achievements, stating that the certifications reaffirm Samsung’s commitment to delivering cinematic-quality visuals at home.

These certifications further solidify Samsung's leadership in home entertainment, with its 2024 Neo QLED TVs set to deliver an unmatched viewing experience, transforming any room into a private cinema with world-class picture quality.
