The Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing digital transformation and government integration as the UAE marks Union Pledge Day, highlighting the national values of unity, collaboration, and innovation that continue to shape the country's development.

In a statement issued on the occasion, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi said Union Pledge Day reflects the enduring principles upon which the UAE was founded, including unity, integration, and collective action, which have driven the nation's remarkable development journey.

He noted that these values have enabled the UAE to emerge as a global model for development, innovation, and future readiness.

"What we are witnessing today in terms of achievements and leadership in various fields is an extension of that approach, which believed that unifying efforts is the way to build a more prosperous and sustainable future," he said.

Driving Sharjah's Digital Transformation

Sheikh Saud said the Sharjah Digital Department continues to draw inspiration from the principles of the Union while implementing the Sharjah Digital Transformation Strategy 2026–2028.

According to the Director General, the strategy focuses on strengthening integration among government entities while leveraging data and advanced technologies to deliver more efficient, seamless, and user-friendly government services.

He added that these efforts aim to enhance residents' quality of life and strengthen the Sharjah Government's readiness to meet future challenges in line with the vision and aspirations of the UAE's leadership.

The statement underscores the department's commitment to supporting the emirate's digital transformation agenda while contributing to the UAE's broader vision of sustainable development, innovation, and government excellence.
