Salik and Parkonic Launch UAE’s First Fully AI-Powered Autonomous Parking System in Dubai
Partnership with Dubai Holding transforms over 36,000 parking spaces across iconic communities, advancing Dubai’s Smart City 2030 goals.
Salik Company PJSC, the exclusive toll gate operator in Dubai, and Parkonic, the UAE’s premier smart parking solutions provider, have joined forces with Dubai Holding to launch the region’s first fully AI-powered autonomous parking solution. Covering over 36,000 on-street and off-street parking spaces across iconic Dubai communities, the initiative marks a major step forward in the city’s journey toward seamless mobility and smart infrastructure.
The collaboration is closely aligned with the goals of Dubai’s Smart City 2030 and Future Mobility Vision, bringing to life a ticketless, barrier-free, and zero-interaction parking experience. Parkonic’s AI-driven technology, integrated with Salik’s robust cashless payment system, allows for automated entry and exit, eliminating the need for manual inspection or physical barriers.
The frictionless parking solution facilitates instant and automatic payment through Salik’s infrastructure, significantly improving user convenience and helping to prevent fines related to overstays. It is a critical move toward developing a fully connected and intelligent mobility network across the emirate.
Residents and visitors within these communities will be among the first to experience the benefits of the smart infrastructure—including enhanced ease of movement, reduced congestion, and improved accessibility.
“This partnership is a milestone for urban mobility in Dubai. Together with Salik and Dubai Holding, we're building a future where parking is seamless, intelligent, and user-centric,” said Imad Alameddine, CEO of Parkonic. “This goes beyond parking—it’s about preparing for AI-powered services, autonomous vehicles, and a fully integrated mobility ecosystem.”
In addition to enhancing user experience, the project is expected to contribute to Dubai’s Net Zero goals by cutting carbon emissions and reducing traffic congestion. With multilingual interfaces and automatic billing, the system is proudly developed and operated in the UAE, setting a new standard in future-ready urban design.
