Region’s Creative Marketing Community Prepares for the Second Edition of Athar Festival in Riyadh

The Athar Festival, Saudi Arabia's premier event for the creative marketing industry, is set to return for its second edition in Riyadh. Taking place at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel & Convention, the event will kick off on November 3 with Young Talent Academies, followed by the main two-day festival from November 5-6, culminating in the prestigious Athar Awards ceremony.

This year, the festival expects over 1,500 industry professionals and a stellar lineup of 100+ speakers from around the world. With a focus on trends shaping the creative landscape, the Athar Festival will cover topics ranging from the impact of technology on branding to the role of creativity in sectors like sports, entertainment, and tourism.

The agenda centers around six core themes: Creative Industry in Saudi Arabia, Brand Growth Strategies, Purpose-driven Marketing, Artificial Intelligence and Technology, Unleashing Creativity, and Parallel Sectors. These themes will frame the festival’s presentations, panel discussions, keynotes, and interactive sessions, fostering collaboration and industry insight.

Highlights include a keynote by Matt McKie, Director of Marketing at Manchester United, who will share insights from his career in sports marketing, and a panel titled “Gaming as a Branding Platform – Strategies for Success,” featuring industry leaders discussing the growing influence of gaming on brand engagement.

The Athar Awards ceremony will close the event, recognizing creative talent across 24 categories and providing a platform for the industry’s best to connect and celebrate. Presented by Motivate Media Group and TRACCS, the Athar Festival 2024 is set to solidify Riyadh’s place in the global creative industry.
