ATERMES Unveils AI-Powered Defense Ecosystem and Launches Dedicated MRO Division Ahead of Eurosatory 2026

ATERMES, a French specialist in advanced surveillance and security technologies, has announced the unveiling of its next-generation AI-driven defense ecosystem and the launch of a dedicated Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) division ahead of its participation in Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s leading defense and security exhibitions.

Taking place in Paris from June 15 to 19, Eurosatory 2026 will serve as a global platform for ATERMES to demonstrate its latest autonomous and multi-domain defense technologies designed to address evolving security threats and modern operational challenges.

At the center of the company’s showcase is the debut of ALTORE, a fully integrated counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) developed in collaboration with a network of strategic industrial partners. The solution is designed to detect, identify, and neutralize hostile drones through a layered defense architecture, providing military and security operators with enhanced protection against increasingly sophisticated aerial threats.

The counter-drone capability complements ATERMES’ broader defense ecosystem, which includes SURICATE, the company’s flagship artificial intelligence-powered surveillance platform. Having reached full industrial manufacturing capacity, SURICATE has already been deployed across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with additional live demonstrations planned throughout the third quarter of 2026.

The ecosystem also incorporates BARIER, a tactical perimeter security solution featuring rapidly deployable, networked border-control beacons that provide continuous situational awareness across complex and remote operational environments.

In a strategic expansion of its service portfolio, ATERMES officially launched its dedicated MRO division to provide comprehensive lifecycle support for deployed defense systems. The new department will focus on maintenance services, asset optimization, predictive maintenance, and operational readiness support for defense customers worldwide.

The company stated that the initiative builds upon its extensive experience as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner to major defense organizations, where it has supplied critical systems and components across global defense supply chains.

Artificial intelligence remains a central pillar of ATERMES’ innovation strategy, enabling advanced threat detection, automated data analysis, and enhanced decision-making capabilities while preserving human oversight for mission-critical operations.

Rather than relying on standardized solutions, the company follows a collaborative development model that integrates end-user operational requirements directly into the research and development process, ensuring systems are tailored to real-world mission environments.

As part of its international growth strategy, ATERMES is expanding its presence across the Middle East, Africa, and the Indian subcontinent, strengthening partnerships and supporting defense modernization initiatives in key global markets.

Commenting on the company's latest developments, Lionel Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of ATERMES, emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration in addressing emerging security challenges.

“Innovation loses its value without collaboration, and our presence at Eurosatory 2026 demonstrates our commitment to developing intelligent, AI-driven defense systems capable of addressing rapidly evolving threat environments,” said Thomas.

“As we continue expanding across the Middle East, Africa, and the Indian subcontinent, our focus remains on providing partners with enhanced situational awareness, operational precision, and long-term resilience needed to navigate increasingly complex security landscapes.”

Looking ahead, ATERMES reaffirmed its commitment to advancing next-generation surveillance, protection, and networked defense technologies while supporting international partners through innovative solutions designed to strengthen operational effectiveness and national security capabilities.

Defense professionals, military decision-makers, and industry stakeholders attending Eurosatory 2026 will have the opportunity to experience live demonstrations and technical briefings at the company’s exhibition pavilion in Paris.
