Rainfall Sweeps Across UAE, Frost Reported on Jais Mountain

Residents across the UAE woke up to unexpected rainfall this morning, with moderate to heavy showers reported in key areas such as Al Khail Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Jumeirah, and Al Safa in Dubai. The National Center of Meteorology confirmed heavy rain in Hassyan, Dubai, and Ghanadhah, Abu Dhabi, while light to moderate showers were observed in Ghalilah and Adhen in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Iqqah in Fujairah, and Al Dhaid in Sharjah. Motorists have been advised to exercise caution due to slippery roads and reduced visibility caused by the rainfall.

In Ras Al Khaimah, frost formation was reported atop Jais Mountain early in the morning, adding a wintry touch to the region. The skies remain partly cloudy in many areas, including Dubai, as dark clouds linger. Looking ahead, tomorrow’s forecast predicts sunny to partly cloudy weather, with low clouds forming along coastal areas and increased nighttime humidity. Moderate Northeasterly to Northwesterly winds reaching speeds of 35 km/h are expected, with the Arabian Gulf showing moderate sea conditions and the Oman Sea remaining calm.
