OMODA & JAECOO Showcases Smart Valet Parking Technology Ahead of UAE Rollout
OMODA & JAECOO has successfully demonstrated its advanced Valet Parking Driver (VPD) technology during the Chery International Business Summit in Beijing, marking a key milestone in its push toward AI-driven smart mobility.
The demonstration comes as the brand surpasses one million global vehicle sales, underlining its rapid growth and innovation focus. The company confirmed that the next-generation system is expected to be introduced in upcoming models in the United Arab Emirates.
Fully Autonomous Parking Experience
Unlike conventional parking assist systems, VPD offers a fully autonomous, closed-loop solution. The technology allows vehicles to:
- Locate available parking spaces independently
- Navigate complex environments such as malls and tight spaces
- Park with precision without driver presence
Controlled via a mobile app, users can activate features such as “Come When Called”, where the car drives itself to the user, and “Leave When Waved”, enabling the vehicle to park autonomously after drop-off.
Real-World Testing and Performance
The system was tested in high-difficulty scenarios, including mechanical parking structures, dead-end roads, and busy retail environments. Equipped with advanced sensors, VPD demonstrated real-time obstacle detection, smooth navigation, and end-to-end automation—from identifying a parking spot to retrieval.
In a controlled comparison, the system outperformed an experienced human driver across key metrics such as speed, steering efficiency, and parking precision, highlighting its capability to deliver consistent and optimised performance.
Strong Relevance for UAE Cities
The technology is particularly suited to urban environments like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where high-density parking, congestion, and limited availability remain common challenges.
By eliminating the need to search for parking or walk long distances—especially in extreme weather conditions—VPD enhances convenience, reduces stress, and improves the overall driving experience.
Part of a Broader AI Ecosystem
Alongside VPD, the brand also showcased its AiMOGA robotics ecosystem, featuring interactive robots designed for smart reception and human-machine interaction, reflecting its ambition to integrate AI, robotics, and mobility into a unified ecosystem.
OMODA & JAECOO said the successful demonstration reinforces its positioning as a technology-first automotive brand, targeting markets like the UAE as early adopters of next-generation mobility solutions.
The development signals a shift toward a future of “parking freedom,” where automated systems redefine everyday driving experiences through intelligent, user-centric innovation.
