Arada has recorded more than 100 million safe man-hours without a lost time injury (LTI) at its flagship Aljada project in Sharjah, marking a significant milestone in construction safety and operational excellence.

The achievement reflects the developer’s people-first approach to health and safety across one of the region’s largest mixed-use developments, valued at AED35 billion.

The milestone follows the completion of residential works in the Naseej District earlier this year, with more than 9,000 homes delivered across the 24-million-square-foot master-planned community since construction began in 2018. Today, Aljada is home to approximately 20,000 residents.

Construction activity at the site has spanned a wide range of sectors, including residential, retail, hospitality, entertainment, sports, healthcare, education, commercial infrastructure, and landscaping, highlighting the scale and diversity of the development.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said the achievement underscores the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices.

He noted that the milestone was made possible through robust systems, proactive risk management, and a culture of collective accountability, ensuring that safety remains a top priority across all project phases.

Once completed, Aljada will feature more than 25,000 homes, four hotels, a major commercial district, three international schools, and a large shopping destination, all set within integrated green spaces.

Strategically located near key transport links such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Al Dhaid Road, the development is also within close proximity to Sharjah International Airport and Dubai International Airport, enhancing its accessibility.

The milestone sets a new benchmark for construction safety in the Middle East, reinforcing Arada’s position as a leader in delivering large-scale developments with a strong focus on worker wellbeing and operational discipline.
