The Moroccan local products are back to SIAL Abu Dhabi
After a successful participation at the 2013 edition, Morocco comeback at SIAL Abu Dhabi. This new participation, which will be organized by the Agriculture Development Agency from 24 to 26 November 2014, is a part the implementation of the Green Morocco Plan, including the marketing and promotion of local products development strategy. In this regard, an important delegation of investors, economic interest groups, agricultural associations and cooperatives represent Morocco in this new 2014 edition of SIAL ME.
Therefore, it will not be less than 24 exhibitors, including 20 producer groups and 4 private companies that will present a wide range of local products from 10 regions of the Kingdom, including 14 certified products. These groups are divided into three cooperative unions, 4 Economic Interest Groups (EIG), 11 cooperatives and 2 associations, thus totaling 198 cooperatives with more than 4250 farmers including 1612 women (38%). All these exhibitors will benefit from no less than 240 B to B meetings held alongside the show with prospective customers, including purchasing centers, supermarkets, delicatessen stores, bio specialized stores and chefs cooks.
Morocco's participation in this event aims to highlight the quality and diversity of Moroccan products, so as to strengthen their position in the international market and the development of new markets for Moroccan products, with a particular focus on local products.
Inside an 288 sqm authentically Moroccan pavilion, hundreds of diversified Moroccan local products such as saffron, argan oil, oil olive, capers, aromatic and medicinal plants, dates, figs, prickly, honey, pomegranate and couscous, will be exposed for 3 days to Emirati and international visitors.
This edition stands out by the participation of ten investors operating in the agricultural and food sector in the cereals, red fruits, white meat, red meat, orchards and olive sectors.
As such, an intensive program of B to B meetings is planned for investors on the initiative of Agriculture Development Agency. These meetings will be held in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to explore and partnership opportunities for setting up joint investment projects in the agricultural and food sector.
Since the launch of its first edition in 2010, SIAL ME registers an annual average growth of 20% in the exhibition space and a 30% increase in the number of visitors each year. This business platform is now recognized as an essential point of meeting in the region of the Middle East, gathering key operators from the agro industrial sector of Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent.
