AnaAkhtar Expands Across Arab World Following Successful School Counselling Pilot Programmes

UAE-based educational technology platform AnaAkhtar has announced its transition from field validation to institutional adoption after successfully completing two years of implementation across private and public schools, positioning itself for expansion across Jordan and the wider Arab world during the 2026–2027 academic year.

The milestone was highlighted during the event titled “Educational Technology in Educational Counseling and Well-Being,” organized in collaboration with the University of Jordan and attended by educational leaders, academics, school principals, counsellors, and Higher Diploma candidates from across the region.

AnaAkhtar is recognized as the first Arabic-language platform specifically designed to support and empower school counsellors by providing tools that help identify student needs, strengthen engagement, and improve educational and well-being outcomes.

Addressing the Hidden Side of Student Development

The platform was developed around a central challenge facing educators and counsellors: understanding the personal, emotional, and social factors that often remain invisible within traditional academic performance metrics.

While schools routinely track attendance, grades, and academic achievement, many aspects of student wellbeing and personal development remain difficult to measure.

AnaAkhtar aims to bridge that gap by transforming student engagement data into actionable insights that help counsellors identify challenges early and provide targeted support.

Speaking during the event, Eman Al-Otaibi, Founder and CEO of AnaAkhtar, emphasized the importance of understanding students beyond academic indicators.

“In education, we've mastered measuring a great deal — grades, attendance, averages. But the hardest thing about a student is what never appears in any table,” she said.

Al-Otaibi explained that the platform was intentionally developed in Arabic to provide counsellors with culturally relevant tools and practical insights tailored to the needs of students across the region.

Integrated Platform Connecting Key Stakeholders

AnaAkhtar has been designed as a comprehensive educational ecosystem that connects students, parents, school counsellors, and educational institutions through a single digital platform.

The system enables educational institutions to:

  1. Monitor student engagement
  2. Track wellbeing indicators
  3. Generate analytical reports
  4. Support evidence-based decision-making
  5. Identify emerging student needs
  6. Monitor trends across schools and educational networks

By consolidating data and communication channels, the platform helps counsellors spend less time on administrative processes and more time supporting students directly.

The platform also enables institutions to assess broader patterns at the school, city, and network levels, offering a more comprehensive understanding of student development and support requirements.

Successful Field Implementation Across Schools

The transition to institutional adoption follows extensive field testing conducted over the past two years.

Implementation took place across private schools directly, while public-school deployment was carried out through a strategic collaboration with the University of Jordan under a formal memorandum of understanding.

As part of the initiative, Higher Diploma candidates specializing in Teacher Preparation and Educational Counselling applied the platform directly within school environments.

The project was implemented across nine public schools, providing an opportunity to bridge academic training with real-world counselling practice.

The initiative allowed future educational counsellors to gain practical experience while simultaneously evaluating the platform’s effectiveness in supporting student development and educational wellbeing.

University of Jordan Highlights Importance of Counselling Innovation

The event was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Zyoud, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan.

Dr. Al-Zyoud underscored the growing importance of investing in student wellbeing alongside academic achievement.

He highlighted the need for dedicated Arabic-language solutions that enable educational institutions to better understand, monitor, and support student growth throughout their educational journey.

According to Dr. Al-Zyoud, supporting counsellors with specialized tools is becoming increasingly important as schools seek more comprehensive approaches to student success and wellbeing.

Expanding Across Jordan and the Arab World

Following successful implementation and positive feedback from participating institutions, AnaAkhtar is now preparing for a broader phase of institutional adoption.

The company plans to expand into additional educational institutions across Jordan and the Arab world during the 2026–2027 academic year.

The expansion reflects growing demand for localized educational technology solutions that address the unique cultural and linguistic needs of schools throughout the region.

By focusing specifically on school counselling and student wellbeing, AnaAkhtar occupies a specialized segment within the rapidly growing Middle East education technology sector.

Strengthening Collaboration Between Academia and Education

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to Higher Diploma candidates, participating supervisors, and faculty members who contributed to the implementation project.

Participants expressed strong support for continued collaboration between universities, educators, and technology providers to develop innovative Arabic-language solutions that strengthen educational outcomes.

The initiative was widely viewed as an example of how academic institutions and private-sector innovators can work together to address emerging challenges in education while enhancing student support systems.

Looking Ahead

As educational institutions across the Arab world place greater emphasis on student wellbeing, emotional development, and personalized support, demand for specialized counselling technologies is expected to grow.

AnaAkhtar’s successful transition from field validation to institutional adoption marks a significant step forward in the development of Arabic educational technology focused on student growth and wellbeing.

With expansion plans now underway, the platform aims to equip more schools and counsellors with the tools needed to better understand students, identify challenges early, and support their development beyond traditional academic measures.
