MAMMA MIA! Smash Hit Musical to enthrall DSF 2015 visitors

The smash hit musical, MAMMA MIA!, featuring timeless songs of the epic Swedish pop group ABBA is all set to make Dubai Shopping Festivals (DSF) Journey Into Entertainment extra special for thousands of fans in the city.

Composed by former members of the band, Benny Andersson and Bjrn Ulvaeus, MAMMA MIA! is a brilliant live on-stage performance that will see the story-telling magic of ABBAs undying tracks cast magic on audiences at Sheikh Rashid Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre. The first of the 2-hour ticketed musical show will be staged take today ( 2 January) at 5pm and 9pm, followed by shows on 3 January at 4pm and 8pm, from 4 to 7 January at 8pm, on 8 and 9 January at 5pm and 9pm and on 10 January at 4pm and 8pm.

The production will be presented on a grand stage powered by multicolored lights and effects as the spellbinding show starring a talented cast, unfolds into an enchanting tale of love, family and friendship set on a Greek island paradise. The brainchild of distinguished producer, Judy Craymer, MAMMA MIA! is the perfect event for families to enjoy even as they ring in the New Year.

As an international renowned musical, MAMMA MIA! has been watched by more than 54 million people in 39 productions in 14 different languages. The award-winning show is celebrating 15 years in Londons West End and is the 9th longest running musical on Broadway. Transformed to the big screen in 2008, MAMMA MIA! the movie starred legendary Hollywood actors Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan and is the highest grossing live action musical film of all time.

MAMMA MIA! Smash Hit Musical is one of the main attractions of DSFs 20th anniversary celebrations, which runs from 1 January to 1 February 2015 under the special theme, A Journey of Celebrations. Organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), DSF 2014 is set be the biggest in the festivals history offering more than 150 citywide events, mega attractions, numerous shopping opportunities and various winning options throughout the 32 day extravaganza.
