Majid Al Futtaim And Alshaya Group Expand Retail Partnership With Primark Opening At City Centre Mirdif
Majid Al Futtaim has deepened its strategic alliance with Alshaya Group through a major wave of retail expansions across its flagship malls, highlighted by the upcoming launch of Primark at City Centre Mirdif on April 9.
The expansion forms part of a broader retail rollout that will see Primark extend its regional presence with a flagship store at Mall of the Emirates in May, followed by another opening at City Centre Bahrain later in the year. These developments underscore the growing demand for accessible, value-driven international fashion brands across the Middle East.
Alongside Primark’s expansion, Majid Al Futtaim continues to enhance its retail portfolio with upgraded and newly launched stores operated by Alshaya Group. H&M at Mall of the Emirates has reopened after a major refurbishment, while brands such as Jo Malone, Victoria's Secret, and COS have recently introduced new locations, adding depth to the mall’s fashion and lifestyle offering.
The partnership has also brought new international concepts to the UAE market, including the debut of Ulta Beauty at Mall of the Emirates earlier this year, offering a more experiential approach to beauty retail that combines skincare, cosmetics, and wellness under one roof.
Khalifa Bin Braik said the continued collaboration reinforces the company’s role as a leading destination partner for global brands, noting that the focus remains on delivering innovative retail environments that integrate shopping with lifestyle and cultural experiences. John Hadden added that the long-standing partnership has enabled internationally recognised brands to thrive in the region, with the latest expansion reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing customer experiences.
