Lexus has unveiled the new IS350 sports sedan in the Middle East, introducing an updated version of its compact front-engine, rear-wheel-drive model that focuses on refined performance, sharper design, and enhanced safety technologies.

The launch marks the latest evolution of the IS series, which first debuted in 1999 and has since become a key model in Lexus’ performance lineup. The new IS350 continues the brand’s pursuit of a dynamic driving experience while incorporating advanced technology and updated styling.

Focus on Driver Engagement

The development of the new IS350 centers on the concept of “maturation,” further refining the model’s driving dynamics and strengthening the connection between driver and vehicle.

Yasushi Muto, Chief Engineer at Lexus International, said the vehicle was designed to create a stronger dialogue between the driver and the car.

“Our unwavering focus was on achieving true dialogue between car and driver, where the driver’s intentions are faithfully conveyed to the vehicle, and the car’s responses are clearly felt in return,” Muto said.

He added that improvements to ride comfort, vehicle control, safety technologies, and the multimedia system were all aimed at enhancing the driving experience inside the cabin.

Improved Performance and Handling

The new IS350 introduces several technical upgrades designed to elevate steering precision and vehicle stability. The Electric Power Steering system now features a variable gear rack to improve maneuverability through corners while maintaining stability during straight-line driving.

The Adaptive Variable Suspension system has also been refined to provide a balance between stability and reduced road shock, helping deliver a smoother and more controlled driving experience without compromising the sporty character that defines the IS lineup.

Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance

Safety and convenience are further strengthened through updates to the Lexus Safety System+, which now includes expanded driver-assistance features designed to support safer and more comfortable long-distance travel.

The vehicle also integrates Lexus Teammate Advanced Drive, an enhanced driver-assistance system that assists with highway driving, providing an added layer of support for drivers.

Sharper Exterior Design

On the exterior, the new IS350 features a redesigned front face that emphasizes a wider stance and lower center of gravity, reinforcing its sporty identity.

The F SPORT variant adds a newly designed rear spoiler to improve aerodynamics, along with lightweight 19-inch aluminum wheels that complement the car’s dynamic styling. The exterior palette now includes eight color options, including the newly introduced Neutrino Gray, a metallic light-gray shade designed to highlight the car’s sculpted lines.

Driver-Focused Interior

Inside the cabin, Lexus has prioritized cockpit design to keep drivers focused on the road. The center display has been expanded to 12.3 inches, offering improved visibility and intuitive operation, while a 12.3-inch TFT LCD instrument meter provides clearer graphics and real-time driving information.

Interior materials also receive an upgrade with the introduction of “Forged Bamboo” ornamentation, applied to the upper console and start switch bezel to create a distinctive shading effect inspired by traditional craftsmanship.

A new interior color theme called Prominence, inspired by the glow of solar flares, has also been introduced to enhance the sporty and energetic atmosphere of the cabin.

The launch of the new IS350 highlights Lexus’ continued focus on combining refined craftsmanship with performance and advanced technology. With improvements in handling, design, and safety systems, the latest IS350 aims to deliver a more engaging and comfortable driving experience for customers across the Middle East.
