Infobip Hosts DevDays 2026, Reinforces AI-First Strategy with 1,000+ Engineers
Infobip, an AI-first cloud communications provider, convened more than 1,000 engineers from around the world at its DevDays 2026 event, underscoring its continued investment in artificial intelligence and talent development as it marks its 20th anniversary.
The global gathering focused on strengthening AI capabilities across the organisation and exploring what it means to operate as an AI-first business. The event highlighted how teams are integrating artificial intelligence into daily workflows to create more conversational and personalised customer experiences, helping businesses enhance engagement and loyalty.
Over the past two decades, Infobip has built its reputation on enabling businesses to communicate with customers at scale across multiple channels. At DevDays 2026, the company demonstrated how AI is now embedded across its global communications platform, which reaches over seven billion mobile devices worldwide.
According to company leadership, artificial intelligence is no longer a future ambition but a core component of current operations. It is being actively integrated into product development, decision-making processes, and go-to-market strategies, reflecting a broader shift towards AI-driven business models.
Izabel Jelenić, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, emphasised that innovation has always been central to the company’s identity. She noted that embedding AI across all functions—from engineering to business operations—is critical to building advanced solutions for the global market.
A key highlight of the event was AgentOS, Infobip’s intelligent platform designed to power autonomous customer communications. The solution combines AI agents, human interaction, data, and communication channels within a unified environment, enabling businesses to optimise engagement by selecting the right channel, triggering next actions, and incorporating human intervention when necessary.
Saša Erak, Vice President of Engineering at Infobip, stated that adopting an AI-first approach involves more than automation. He explained that the company is systematically transforming its operating model by identifying areas where AI can enhance efficiency, automating repetitive tasks, and allowing teams to focus on higher-value decision-making and creative processes.
The DevDays 2026 event also highlighted Infobip’s commitment to investing in its workforce, recognising that the success of AI technologies depends on the expertise and adaptability of the people behind them. By equipping employees with the skills and knowledge needed to work effectively with AI, the company aims to strengthen its position in the evolving digital communications landscape.
