Huawei Cloud Showcases AI for Industries Strategy at Global AI Summit in Riyadh
Huawei Cloud showcased its cutting-edge AI solutions during the Global AI Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, held from September 10-12, 2024. As a Contributing Sponsor, Huawei Cloud highlighted its "AI for Industries" strategy, focusing on practical AI applications designed to solve real-world industry challenges.
With AI adoption shifting from consumer applications to enterprise-wide solutions, Huawei Cloud emphasized the role of AI foundation models in transforming industries and optimizing processes across various sectors. During his keynote speech, Bruno Zhang, CTO of Huawei Cloud, outlined the company’s mission to accelerate intelligence across industries. “AI is transforming industries by driving productivity and enhancing efficiency,” Zhang stated, emphasizing Huawei Cloud's commitment to "Tech for Good" and "AI for Industries."
Huawei Cloud’s Pangu AI models are at the forefront of this transformation. The Pangu Weather Model offers weather forecasts 10,000 times faster than traditional methods, while the Pangu Government Model aids in real-time city event management. In the mining industry, the Pangu Mining Model boosts safety with 98% anomaly detection accuracy. The Pangu Automotive Model accelerates learning time for autonomous driving scenarios, reducing it from two weeks to just two days.
At the event, Huawei Cloud demonstrated various AI-driven solutions, including the Pangu Big Model for Autopilot, CodeArts Snap for intelligent code generation, and EasyAR Metaverse, a spatial computing platform supporting industries such as tourism and education. Additionally, Huawei showcased AI-powered crowd flow simulations for areas like tourism and customer service.
The Global AI Summit, hosted under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aims to foster global dialogue on AI and drive impactful solutions across industries.
