Huawei and Tameer Partner to Advance Saudi Arabia’s Real Estate Development Sector

Huawei and Tameer Real Estate Development Company have announced a strategic partnership aimed at equipping new residential units with cutting-edge fiber optic communication technologies. This collaboration aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s “10 Gigabit Society” initiative, which seeks to develop high-speed internet infrastructure across the Kingdom and drive digital transformation.

As demand for high-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, online gaming, and smart home automation continues to grow, Huawei’s advanced Fiber to the Room (FTTR) technology will play a crucial role in enhancing connectivity. The FTTR solution extends fiber optic cables to each room in a household, ensuring stable, high-speed internet with seamless connectivity for all devices.

Under the agreement, Huawei will leverage its technical expertise and FTTR solutions to integrate advanced infrastructure into Tameer’s new residential developments. This initiative aims to meet the increasing demand for smart home solutions and automation technologies, ensuring that future housing projects are equipped with state-of-the-art communication networks.

Driving Innovation in Real Estate Development

Commenting on the partnership, Yasser Al Majed, CEO of Tameer, said:

"This partnership with Huawei represents a significant milestone for Tameer in its commitment to setting new standards for modern living in Saudi Arabia. At Tameer, we strive to develop advanced living experiences, and this collaboration enables us to achieve that goal. By integrating Huawei’s FTTR technology, we are not only future-proofing our residential units but also contributing to the Kingdom’s digital transformation agenda in line with Vision 2030. This initiative is about more than just connectivity; it is about shaping a smarter, more connected future for Saudi Arabia."

Simon Zusi, Executive Vice President of Huawei Saudi Arabia, expressed Huawei’s commitment to the initiative, stating:

"Huawei is proud to partner with Tameer on this pioneering project, as we believe that high-speed, reliable connectivity is essential for fostering innovation and economic growth in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration reflects our dedication to enabling a fully connected, intelligent world. By integrating our FTTR solutions into Tameer’s developments, we are supporting the vision of the '10 Gigabit Society' initiative and setting a model for real estate developers across the region."

A Future-Ready Approach to Smart Living

The collaboration underscores both companies' commitment to fostering innovation in Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector. By incorporating Huawei’s cutting-edge ICT infrastructure, Tameer aims to provide residents with an unparalleled living experience while contributing to the growth of the Kingdom’s digital economy.

The initiative is expected to accelerate the adoption of FTTR technology among real estate developers, setting a new benchmark for residential connectivity. With plans to equip over 5,000 housing units with FTTR technology by 2035, the partnership plays a critical role in achieving the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the 10Gb Society initiative.

This forward-looking approach reinforces Tameer’s leadership in smart real estate development while solidifying Huawei’s position as a key enabler of a digitally advanced society in Saudi Arabia.
