HONOR Returns as Official Smartphone Partner for Esports World Cup 2025

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced the return of HONOR as the Official Smartphone Partner for the Esports World Cup 2025. Building on the success of last year’s collaboration, HONOR will once again play a central role in elevating the mobile esports experience with its advanced AI-powered smartphone technology.

At the inaugural Esports World Cup in 2024, HONOR made a significant impact with the HONOR 200 series, which became the tournament's official device. The smartphones were praised for their AI-enhanced performance, which supported high-level competitive play, real-time content creation, and immersive fan engagement.

For the 2025 edition, HONOR will introduce its latest flagship, the HONOR Magic7 Pro, as the official tournament smartphone. Designed specifically for esports, the Magic7 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform, an Ultra-wide Area Cooling System, and a 1-120Hz adaptive dynamic refresh rate display optimized for marathon gameplay. The device also features the industry's first AI Real-Time Rendering for PC-level graphics, AI Predictive Scheduling Engine, and HONOR Power Management System to deliver uninterrupted, high-performance gaming.

“HONOR is very pleased to join forces with the Esports World Cup and provide the official smartphone for its mobile competitions,” said Dr. Rui Guo, Group CMO of HONOR Device Co., Ltd. “Our technology empowers players to reach new heights, and we are proud to support them on the global stage.”

Players competing in Honor of Kings, PUBG: Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Free Fire at the EWC will be using HONOR smartphones, with over $10 million in prize money up for grabs across mobile titles. These games attract top-tier global talent and some of the most recognized esports clubs in the world.

“Mobile esports is one of the fastest-growing segments in competitive gaming,” said Mike McCabe, COO at the Esports World Cup Foundation. “HONOR’s continued collaboration ensures that our players have access to elite tools that elevate gameplay.”

“We’re proud to welcome HONOR back,” added Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer at EWCF. “Their technology pushes the limits of mobile gaming and enriches the experience for players and fans alike.”

Jerry Liao, Country Manager of HONOR Saudi Arabia, emphasized the brand’s commitment to the Kingdom’s growing esports scene, stating, “Saudi Arabia is leading the way in esports, and HONOR is proud to support that vision by offering a world-class gaming device for the next generation of gamers.”

The Esports World Cup 2025 will return to Riyadh from July 7 to August 24, uniting the global gaming community across 25 tournaments, 24 games, and 200 Clubs from over 100 countries. With a record-breaking $70 million prize pool, the event is set to be the largest in esports history. Beyond competitive play, fans can enjoy immersive experiences including live music, cosplay, retro arcades, anime cafes, and much more.

HONOR’s renewed role further cements its position as a major player in the gaming technology space and highlights the fusion of AI innovation and competitive esports performance on a global scale.
