HIMA Group Bids Farewell to Peter Sieber as He Retires and Announces Strategic Marketing Realignment
HIMA Group has announced the retirement of Peter Sieber, a key figure in the company’s global success and transformation, effective December 31, 2025. After twelve years of dedicated service, Sieber will continue to support the organization in an advisory role, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing strategic alignment.
Throughout his tenure, Sieber made remarkable contributions to HIMA’s growth, particularly in advancing the digitalization of functional safety. A recognized expert in the field, he played an instrumental role in expanding the company’s solution portfolio and leading the #safetygoesdigital initiative — integrating cutting-edge safety and automation technologies to create real value for clients worldwide.
Sieber’s influence also extended to his active participation in international standardization committees, where he helped shape the global evolution of functional safety and operational technology (OT) security.
Most recently, Sieber led HIMA’s Strategic Marketing division. His previous responsibilities included overseeing international sales, norms and standards, and the China region, where he was pivotal in establishing HIMA’s local operations and strengthening the company’s foothold in one of its most dynamic markets.
“Peter Sieber has successfully driven the digitalization of functional safety with his creativity and vision, both nationally and internationally,” said Jörg de la Motte, CEO of HIMA Group. “His leadership in establishing HIMA China and building lasting partnerships in the region stands as one of his most notable achievements.”
Leadership Transition and Strategic Realignment
As part of HIMA’s succession and realignment plan, Sergej Arent will assume overall responsibility for the Customer Solutions Center (CSC). This division will encompass Applications, the HIMA Academy, HIMA Consulting, and the newly formed Solutions Management units, which focus on Turbo-Machinery Control (TMC), Safety Lifecycle Digitalization (SLD), and Pipeline Leak Detection Systems (LDS).
In parallel, Ivo Hanspach will take over responsibility for norms and standards, in addition to his current position as Head of Product Management.
Through this organizational restructuring, HIMA aims to further strengthen its position as an independent technology and solutions partner and reaffirm its leadership as a pioneer in the digitalization of functional safety.
The company expressed its gratitude to Peter Sieber for his years of service, innovation, and leadership, extending best wishes as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.
