Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and KHDA Sign MoU to Support Gifted Education in Dubai

Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in the areas of gifted education, academic excellence, and education quality across Dubai.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the ceremony honouring winners of the Foundation’s educational awards and in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the Foundation.

The MoU establishes a framework for implementing the “Hamdan Giftedness Test” in schools across Dubai while also providing annual training for specialists responsible for identifying gifted students.

The agreement was signed by Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, and Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.

The partnership includes collaboration in educational research and studies related to excellence and giftedness, in addition to organising conferences, seminars, and specialised training programmes.

The agreement also covers technical support and advisory services related to educational excellence, giftedness, creativity, and quality standards, while supporting coordination with private schools across Dubai in line with approved regulations and frameworks.

Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami said the partnership represents an important step in expanding institutional cooperation with one of the UAE’s leading educational authorities.

He noted that the agreement will help strengthen efforts to identify and nurture gifted students while expanding the use of the Foundation’s educational tools and programmes across the sector.

Al Qutami added that the initiative aligns with the Foundation’s mission to support national efforts in educational innovation and gifted education while developing programmes that respond to the evolving needs of the education system.

He further highlighted that the MoU will support initiatives focused on improving learning environments for gifted students and raising awareness about the importance of nurturing exceptional talent.

Aisha Abdulla Miran welcomed the partnership and described the Foundation as one of the region’s leading institutions supporting education and innovation.

She said the collaboration would contribute to the goals of Dubai’s Education 33 Strategy, which focuses on ensuring access to high-quality education and strengthening support for gifted and high-achieving students across different learning stages.

Miran added that the partnership reflects shared objectives to enhance education quality and support a culture of excellence and innovation within Dubai’s private education sector.

The MoU highlights both organisations’ commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships that support educational development and create more enabling learning environments for gifted students across the emirate.
