GE Brings the joy of Eid Shopping to 133 Children; Distributes 1,500 Ramadan Care Boxes
As part of its commitment to earn a positive difference to the community, GE Volunteers is noting the Holy Month of Ramadan with two noble initiatives. The Ramadan campaigns are held under the theme, Ramadan for Everyone: Lets Share Our Blessings.
In partnership with Rawafed, GE Volunteers took 133 children from clingy households for Eid Shopping on May 27 and June 5 at Ibn Battuta Shopping Mall. GE's team will go along with the children along with the staff members joining in to sustain the buying activities by the children.
Even more, GE has also partnered with Royati Household Society, a charity company with a mission to sustain the advancement of a healthy and responsible culture, to distribute 1,500 Ramadan Treatment boxes.
Each Ramadan Treatment box, put together via payments by GE staff members and loaded by GE Volunteers, is made to fulfill the monthly supply for a family, and makes up rice, flour, oil, sugar, tea, biscuits, grains/lentils, soft drinks and other non-perishables.
The Ramadan Care boxes effort additionally reflects the 'Conserving Bounties' program of Royati Family members Society which aims to eliminate waste by making certain that any excess food, toys, garments or furnishings are made use of to profit the needy.
