In a remarkable display of accessibility and leadership, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, made a series of surprise visits across Dubai this week—ranging from modern transport hubs to heritage markets.
Sheikh Mohammed was seen riding the Dubai Tram and Metro, mingling with passengers and personally reviewing transport operations. At Mall of the Emirates, he visited Cipriani Café, walked through Carrefour supermarket, and warmly interacted with residents and children.
In Deira, he drove through bustling streets and took a walk through the Old Souk, greeting shopkeepers and tourists. He also visited DP World’s port at Mina Al Hamriya, highlighting Dubai’s ambition to evolve its ports into global trade gateways.
His stops at the Deira Waterfront Market and Dubai Central Fruit and Vegetable Market in Al Aweer reflected his support for traditional commerce and modernized infrastructure.
The week concluded with a visit to Dubai Hills Mall, where he walked through Geant Supermarket and paused for coffee, again meeting and greeting residents.
