Friends of India, Shantigiri Cultural and Social Centre, and Dubai Health Authority Organise Mega Blood Donation Camp in Dubai
As part of the Indian Republic Day celebrations, Friends of India, in association with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and in collaboration with Shantigiri Cultural and Social Centre, successfully organised a Mega Blood Donation Camp at the Dubai Health Authority Headquarters.
The humanitarian initiative, organised with a strong focus on human values and social responsibility, received an overwhelming response from the community. More than 300 blood donors participated in the camp, contributing towards saving lives and supporting the healthcare system.
The programme was officially inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Kumar, Consul (Passport), Indian Consulate, Dubai, who addressed the gathering and appreciated the organisers and volunteers for their dedicated efforts. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of strengthening social commitment, cooperation, and community-driven humanitarian initiatives.
As part of the programme, Shantigiri Ashram honoured Brahmachari Sadpriyan with a special token of appreciation in recognition of his valuable contributions to the field of health services. The Ashram also congratulated the members and volunteers of Shantigiri Cultural and Social Centre, Dubai, for their unwavering dedication and service to the community.
The event was efficiently coordinated by the organising committee members Mr. Shyam, Murali Ekarool, Sanoop, Sreeja Sunil, Shailesh Kumar, Abhilash, Smisha Murali, and Sajeev Sarojini, Sunil, whose teamwork ensured the smooth and successful execution of the programme.
Shantigiri Cultural and Social Centre, UAE, played a pivotal role in the success of the blood donation camp through its active participation and excellent organisational support. The initiative stood as a strong message of social unity, compassion, and humanitarian service.

Following the blood donation camp, a vibrant sports, entertainment, and cultural programme organised by the Shantigiri community at Dubai Creek Park provided an unforgettable experience for devotees and well-wishers. The day’s events concluded with a food distribution programme.
The organisers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all blood donors, volunteers, medical teams, and collaborating institutions whose support and cooperation made this noble initiative a grand success.
