France Showcases Green Tech Leadership at WETEX 2025

France is reaffirming its position as a leading partner in sustainable innovation at WETEX 2025, the region’s premier exhibition for water, energy, and environmental technologies. From September 30 to October 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, 13 French companies, including nine first-time exhibitors, will showcase cutting-edge solutions under the French Pavilion, organized by Business France.

The delegation highlights French expertise in water efficiency, renewable energy, and climate resilience, aligning with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 ambitions and the Water Security Strategy 2036.

“WETEX offers unmatched access to the region’s key decision-makers and project developers. France’s delegation reflects not just innovation, but a long-term commitment to helping the Gulf build a sustainable, high-performance future,” said Axel Baroux, Managing Director of Business France for the Near & Middle East.

Supporting the UAE’s sustainability goals

The UAE plans to invest over AED 200 billion by 2030 to meet rising sustainable energy demand and ensure water security amid climate challenges. Targets include reducing water demand by 21%, reusing 95% of treated water, and lowering the water scarcity index by three points by 2036. French companies, renowned for decarbonization, waste-to-energy, and AI-powered environmental monitoring, are positioned as key contributors to this transition.

French firms driving water sustainability

Leading French firms such as Veolia are supporting the UAE’s water strategy with advanced filtration and AI-enabled monitoring to maximize water reuse. Their established public-private partnerships strengthen the country’s long-term sustainability agenda.

French innovators were recently recognized at the 2025 Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award:

  • Kumulus SAS for its solar-powered atmospheric water generator producing up to 30 liters of drinking water daily.

  • STEM SAS for AQUAHIVE, an energy-efficient membrane distillation system for seawater and wastewater purification.

Showcasing cleantech and resilience solutions

At WETEX 2025, the French Pavilion will feature innovations across water, renewable energy, and industrial efficiency:

  • Air Water Activity and Helio Water: Clean drinking water solutions from air humidity or solar power.

  • Aquaspot and Cifec: Efficient water treatment systems.

  • Flowstop Industrie and Hemera: Flood protection and real-time environmental monitoring.

  • Stolect, Sunstream International, Vaisala France: Advances in electricity storage, mobile solar generation, and performance-boosting wind and solar sensors.

  • Bernard Controls and Leroux et Lotz Technologies: Smart industrial valves and waste-to-energy boilers.

  • Trouvay & Cauvin and YellowScan: Desalination, water networks, and drone-based lidar mapping.

TotalEnergies, a global energy leader, supports the French Pavilion by facilitating French SMEs’ international expansion, offering internships, financial guidance, and operational support.

“We see it as an opportunity to empower French SMEs and innovators as they expand internationally, particularly in markets like the UAE where sustainability is a national priority. By sharing our expertise, networks, and resources, we help bring concrete solutions in energy and water management that directly contribute to a more sustainable future,” said Alexandre Martin-Denavit, International Development Director for SME at TotalEnergies France.
