France Leads the Way in Sustainable Construction at Big 5 Global 2025

From November 24 to 27, 2025, 19 French companies will showcase their latest innovations at Big 5 Global in Dubai, participating under the French Pavilion — a key platform spotlighting France’s leadership in sustainable construction, technology, and design.

At the Pavilion, French exhibitors will highlight their contributions to shaping the future of green building in the Gulf, presenting certified eco-friendly materials, smart building technologies, and advanced fire protection systems. Their participation underscores France’s deep commitment to the region’s sustainable development, driven by innovation, energy efficiency, and technical excellence.

Visitors can explore the full spectrum of French innovation at the France Pavilion and through its dedicated digital platform: Homepage - BIG 5 Global 2025.

A Booming Market for French Expertise

The UAE’s construction sector, a central pillar of its economic diversification strategy, accounts for nearly 11% of the national GDP. Valued at USD 95 billion in 2024, the market is projected to reach USD 118 billion by 2030, expanding at an average annual growth rate of 5%.

With more than 10,700 active projects and major national initiatives such as the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040 and Abu Dhabi Economic Vision, the UAE stands as the second-largest construction market in the Gulf, following Saudi Arabia.

Across the GCC, total active construction projects exceed USD 1.3 trillion, positioning the region as a global hub for infrastructure and real estate development. Rapid urban growth—driven by Dubai’s projected population increase to 6 million by 2040—is fueling a rising demand for housing, transportation, and hospitality projects.

Sustainability remains a core priority for governments and developers alike, creating exceptional opportunities for French firms renowned for their expertise in energy-efficient design, eco-materials, and smart urban systems to play a leading role in the region’s transformation.

The French Pavilion: Smart and Sustainable Solutions

Within this dynamic landscape, the French Pavilion will feature a diverse array of innovative and responsible solutions customized for Gulf markets — from bio-based building materials and low-carbon design to smart construction technologies, eco-engineered tools, and 3D mapping systems.

Several exhibitors will also showcase solutions tackling heat management, air quality, and ventilation challenges in high-risk industrial and hospitality environments.

Aligned with the France 2030 plan, which supports industrial decarbonization and economic innovation, the French government continues to empower start-ups and SMEs with funding, mentoring, and global exposure. This initiative complements the Gulf region’s drive toward energy transition and sustainable urban development.

Three of this year’s France Pavilion exhibitors are recipients of France 2030 program funding:

  • FEHR GROUP – ARTEMIX: Introducing the world’s first mobile, autonomous ready-mix concrete dispenser for low-carbon construction.

  • NOVACEL: Presenting its OXYGEN range of eco-designed protective films, reducing carbon emissions by up to 80%.

  • OLIKROM: Showcasing LuminoKrom®, the world’s only photoluminescent paint that glows for up to 10 hours, enhancing road safety and sustainable mobility.

Organized by Business France, the French Pavilion operates under the French Fab label in partnership with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, Ubigi, and Terracota — further reinforcing France’s leadership in sustainable construction and innovation.
