Etihad ESCO Begins solar panel installations across Emirati homes
Etihad Energy Services Company (Etihad ESCO) has announced that the photovoltaic (PV) solar panels will be installed over the roofs of 5000 UAE nationals homes in Dubai.
All the contractors are onboard, site surveys have been completed and material procurement, mock-ups and outreach activities are presently in progress.
Etihad ESCO will install around 65,000 PV panels, 295,000 LED lights and 50,000 water savers at Emirati villas. The initiative is scheduled to be completed by November 2019.
The PVs alone can save up to 31,102,500 kWh energy and the initiative will result in the reduction of CO2 emissions by 21, 139 tons annually.

Etihad ESCO aims to reinforce the economy by adopting measures and practices that will lead to achieving its sustainability goals and to create feasible performance contracting market for energy service companies by auditing and proposing energy conservation measures to major building developers or contractors.
