Etihad Credit Insurance Unveils Winners of ‘Xport Xponential’ Initiative

Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI), the UAE’s federal export credit company, has announced the winners of its groundbreaking Xport Xponential initiative, aimed at bolstering the UAE’s export sector and empowering companies to access global markets.

Out of 42 applicants, the selected companies represent diverse economic sectors, meeting rigorous criteria to qualify for the initiative’s benefits. ECI emphasized that this initiative would enable these businesses to achieve significant export growth starting this year.

Comprehensive Support for Export Growth

Xport Xponential provides a robust suite of support mechanisms, including:

  • Innovative credit and financing solutions
  • Strategic consulting and expert guidance
  • Risk management tools
  • Access to a global database of over 400 million companies

The initiative’s expansive network includes exporters, importers, and credit agencies from key markets, especially those aligned with the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs). These partnerships resulted in export and re-export activities worth approximately AED 390.5 billion by the end of 2024, solidifying the UAE’s position as a global trade and logistics hub.

CEO’s Vision

H.E. Raja Al Mazrouei, CEO of ECI, expressed the company’s dedication to supporting the UAE’s export sector.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the winners of our Xport Xponential initiative. Our goal is to enhance exports and re-exports, contributing to the UAE’s economic growth and diversifying the national economy,” she stated.
The initiative, she added, aligns with the leadership’s vision of sustainable economic development by offering credit, financial, and advisory tools to boost non-oil exports.

Upcoming Workshop and Roadshows

To prepare participating companies, ECI will host a one-day workshop focusing on crucial aspects of the initiative. The workshop will provide expert guidance on the next steps. Additionally, ECI is planning international roadshows in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Ministry of Economy (MoE) to promote the initiative in CEPA-aligned countries.

Strategic Partnerships

Xport Xponential is supported by a wide range of federal and local partners, including:

  • Government entities: Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, among others.
  • Financial institutions: Emirates Development Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Dubai Commercial Bank, and more.

These collaborations underscore the UAE’s commitment to establishing a sustainable, diversified, and globally integrated economy.
