ENOC celebrates 43rd UAE National Day with colourful showcase of Emirati culture

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), a wholly-owned entity of the Government of Dubai, celebrated the 43rd UAE National Day with a colourful showcase of traditional activities that highlight the Spirit of the Union as well as underline the accomplishments of the nation under the leadership of its visionary leaders.

At the ceremony held at ENOC headquarters to mark the National Day, Saeed Khoory, Chief Executive Officer of ENOC, said: At ENOC, celebrating the UAE National Day is a proud tradition and an opportunity for all our stakeholders to come together and salute our nation and leadership.

In 43 years, the UAE has made significant strides of development under the guidance of its visionary leadership. Today, the world looks at the UAE with admiration not only for the infrastructure development and for offering a world-class business and lifestyle environment but also for promoting the welfare of the people.

As the UAE strives to achieve its Vision 2021 to be the best nation in the world led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses, the Members of the UAE Supreme Council, ENOC will continue to be the forefront of our nations growth journey powering peoples lives and serving the community as a social responsible entity.

Mr. Khoory said that with the UAE now entering the next level of growth the focus of the company will be to continue to build on its progress by expanding to new geographies and staying agile, creative, innovative and forward-looking.

Khoory said: As His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum observed: The most important lesson is that our union has a spirit. No union can thrive if it is based solely on material interests. My advice to any leader is to unite hearts before uniting efforts and to feel the spirit before building the place. We will continue to focus on uniting hearts, which is the way forward for ensuring that we achieve commendable results.

Highlighting the importance of looking ahead with confidence to build on the continuous success of the UAE, ENOCs National Day celebrations included performances by the Dubai band Yola and a Kanu al Kendi show, as well as live traditional contests.

ENOC has been organising UAE National Day celebrations since its inception in 1993, as part of its commitment to promote and encourage national solidarity and camaraderie.
