EDGE Entity CARACAL Partners with Tawazun Quality and Conformity to Enhance Firearms and Ammunition Safety

CARACAL, a leading regional manufacturer of high-performance small arms and a subsidiary of EDGE, has signed a contract with Tawazun Quality and Conformity (TQC) to enhance the safety and reliability of its firearms and ammunition.

The agreement, signed at the International Defense Exhibition & Conference 2025 (IDEX 2025), marks a significant step in ensuring that CARACAL’s advanced combat pistols, sub-machine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and light machine guns meet the highest industry standards. Additionally, CARACAL LIGHT AMMUNITION (CLA), the UAE’s sole producer of military-grade ammunition and a CARACAL subsidiary, will utilize TQC’s testing, validation, accreditation, and certification facilities to further enhance product quality and compliance.

Commitment to Industry-Leading Safety Standards

Hamad Al Ameri, CEO of CARACAL, emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating:

Ensuring Compliance with Global Standards

The partnership aligns with CARACAL’s ongoing efforts to guarantee the safety and performance of its firearms and ammunition. CARACAL designs and tests its infantry systems and ordnance in compliance with strict international standards, including those set by NATO and the Permanent International Commission for Firearms Testing (CIP), to ensure flawless performance in various environmental and operational conditions.
