Dubai to Implement New Variable Parking Fees from April 4
Peak Pricing to Apply for Six Hours Daily in Premium Areas
Dubai's new variable parking fee system is set to take effect on April 4, introducing higher charges during peak hours in select premium parking zones. The changes were confirmed by Parkin PJSC, the emirate’s largest operator of paid public parking, in a company disclosure posted on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Friday, March 21.
Peak and Off-Peak Hours Defined
According to Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin PJSC, the new tariff structure will be based on dynamic pricing, with peak hours designated for six out of the 14 chargeable hours per day.

Impact on Motorists
The introduction of variable parking fees is expected to encourage better traffic flow and higher turnover of parking spaces in high-demand areas. The move aligns with Dubai’s broader strategy to enhance urban mobility and manage parking congestion efficiently.
