Dubai is set to host a landmark edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit in January 2026, promising to be bigger and more influential than ever before. At a press conference held today, organizers unveiled new initiatives that aim to redefine the future of the creator economy.
One of the most notable announcements was the launch of an AI Movie Contest offering a record-breaking prize of $1 million. The competition will highlight how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing creative storytelling, providing global content creators with an unprecedented platform to blend technology and art.
The press conference was addressed by Saeed Mohammed Al Eter, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Projects and Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, and Alia Al Hammadi, Deputy Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office and Director of the 1 Billion Followers Summit. Both emphasized that the summit will further strengthen Dubai’s role as a global hub for the creator economy.
