Dubai Judicial Institute Unveils 2025 Annual Report Highlighting Digital Transformation and Judicial Excellence

Dubai Judicial Institute has presented its 2025 Annual Report, outlining major achievements across judicial training, digital transformation, legal research, and strategic partnerships as part of efforts to reinforce Dubai’s position as a global model for justice and legal excellence.

The report highlighted the Institute’s progress in advancing future-focused judicial education, integrating emerging technologies, and strengthening international cooperation within the legal sector.

Major Milestone In Judicial Training Accreditation

Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi said the Institute’s accomplishments reflect its long-term strategic vision and commitment to maintaining high standards in judicial training and professional development.

Among the key milestones achieved in 2025 was DJI’s accreditation by the National Qualifications Center as an approved professional training institution.

The Institute also secured accreditation for seven qualification programmes, reinforcing its commitment to quality and institutional excellence.

Expanded Training Programmes And Community Initiatives

During 2025, the Institute implemented:

  • 136 training programmes
  • More than 4,257 training hours
  • Training for 7,071 participants

Specialised programmes focused on:

  • Artificial intelligence
  • Cybersecurity
  • Digital economy legislation
  • Future legal trends
  • Community legal awareness

The Institute also launched several initiatives aligned with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025, aimed at promoting legal culture, social stability, and community engagement.

Advancing Digital Transformation In Judicial Training

As part of its digital transformation strategy, the Institute introduced several advanced technological platforms designed to modernise judicial learning and legal knowledge services.

New initiatives included:

  • AI-Driven Management of Judicial Competencies System (AI-MJCS)
  • Global Justice Insights (GJI) platform
  • Upgraded Dubai Judicial Training Platform
  • Virtual Crime Scene in the Metaverse programme

Officials said these technologies are helping create more interactive and immersive training experiences while enhancing access to legal knowledge resources.

Growth In Legal Research And Knowledge Resources

The Institute’s library also reported significant progress in 2025, including:

  • Publication of 73 legal titles
  • Addition of more than 100 new knowledge resources
  • More than one million visits to the digital library

DJI additionally published winning research papers and books from its Future Research competition, focusing on emerging legal and technological issues.

Expanding Strategic Partnerships

The Institute strengthened collaboration with several leading local and international organisations during the year, including:

  • Dubai Courts
  • Dubai Police
  • World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)
  • United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
  • Ministry of Defense
  • Public Prosecution

Officials said the partnerships support knowledge exchange and enhance institutional integration within the judicial ecosystem.

Community Awareness And International Participation

In support of the Year of Community objectives, DJI launched several public awareness and educational initiatives, including:

  • “Our Community Reads”
  • “Shared Knowledge”
  • “Knowledge Treasures”
  • Digital Repository for Academic Theses

The Institute also introduced legal awareness programmes covering:

  • Personal Status Law
  • Marriage, divorce, and custody issues
  • Women’s rights under UAE law

During 2025, DJI participated in major events including the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and GITEX Global 2025, where it showcased its digital judicial training platforms and innovation projects.

The Institute also approved a new organisational structure aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting future strategic initiatives.

Through its latest annual report, Dubai Judicial Institute reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening judicial capabilities, advancing legal knowledge, and supporting Dubai’s broader vision of institutional excellence and future-ready governance.
