Hamdan Foundation and Knowledge Fund Establishment Partner to Strengthen Gifted Education in Dubai Schools

Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences and the Knowledge Fund Establishment (KFE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the identification and development of gifted students across the Dubai Schools project through advanced assessment tools, specialist training, and data-driven educational planning.

The strategic partnership aims to establish a comprehensive framework for recognising exceptional talent, strengthening gifted education programmes, and supporting Dubai's vision of building an innovative, knowledge-based education system.

Under the agreement, the Hamdan Giftedness Scale, a scientifically validated assessment tool, will be implemented across Dubai Schools to identify gifted learners and enrol eligible students in specialised gifted education programmes. The initiative will also focus on training educators and specialists in gifted identification and talent development while providing scientific and professional consultancy in the fields of giftedness, innovation, and educational excellence.

Developing a Comprehensive Gifted Education Framework

As part of the collaboration, both organisations will work together to develop a dedicated database for gifted students, enabling schools to access assessment results, analytical reports, and educational insights that support strategic planning and the continuous improvement of gifted education programmes.

The partnership will also facilitate knowledge exchange through joint initiatives, scientific conferences, educational events, and awareness campaigns designed to promote a deeper understanding of gifted education among educators, parents, and the wider community.

Supporting Educational Excellence

Speaking on the partnership, H.E. Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, said the agreement represents a significant step towards strengthening an integrated institutional framework for identifying and nurturing gifted learners.

He noted that investing in human capital remains the foundation of sustainable development and emphasised that identifying gifted students is the starting point of a long-term journey focused on developing their abilities through scientifically validated tools, specialised expertise, and supportive educational environments. He added that expanding the application of the Hamdan Giftedness Scale and strengthening the capabilities of education professionals would help transform students' potential into meaningful achievement while supporting the UAE's long-term competitiveness.

Preparing Students for the Future

H.E. Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, Chief Executive Officer of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, said the partnership will strengthen the educational environment across Dubai Schools by introducing specialised scientific tools and institutional collaboration that enhance learning outcomes and educational practices.

He highlighted the importance of identifying gifted students at an early stage and providing them with opportunities to develop their talents, preparing future generations capable of innovation and contributing to the economy of the future.

Advancing Innovation Through Collaboration

Beyond student identification, the agreement includes collaborative initiatives in gifted education, innovation, and excellence, alongside the exchange of expertise and participation in educational and scientific events aimed at promoting best practices in the field.

The partnership builds on Hamdan Foundation's ongoing efforts to establish a comprehensive national ecosystem for gifted education through strategic collaboration with leading institutions. By combining advanced assessment methods, professional development, and data-driven educational planning, both organisations aim to create learning environments that empower gifted students to realise their full potential while contributing to the UAE's vision for a knowledge-driven and innovation-led future.
