Ministry of Sports to Host ‘Emirates Summer’ Festival in Fujairah to Promote Youth Sports
The UAE Ministry of Sports will organise the 'Emirates Summer' Festival under the theme "Our Summer is the Nation's Energy" from August 3 to 20, 2026, at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, bringing together more than 300 students aged between 8 and 16 for a wide range of sporting activities.
The event is being held in collaboration with the UAE Sports for All Federation, Fujairah Martial Arts Club, and several national sports federations and clubs. The initiative aims to encourage young people to adopt active lifestyles while supporting the UAE's broader vision of building a healthier and more sustainable society.
Supporting 'We the UAE 2031' Vision
The festival aligns with the objectives of the 'We the UAE 2031' vision and the 'Year of the Family', promoting sports participation among children and strengthening family and community engagement through recreational and competitive activities.
Ahead of the event, the organising committee held a coordination meeting at the headquarters of the UAE Sports for All Federation in Dubai to review the festival's operational plans, including registration procedures, event implementation, participant reception, and media and marketing strategies.
The meeting was chaired by Saeed Ali Alajil, with representatives from the Ministry of Sports and participating organisations in attendance.
Focus on Youth Development
Speaking during the meeting, Alajil said the Emirates Summer Festival reflects the continued commitment of the Ministry of Sports and its partners to deliver innovative summer programmes that encourage sports participation and identify promising young talent.
He noted that the initiative transforms the summer break into an opportunity for children to develop their sporting abilities in a safe and motivating environment while strengthening family cohesion and reinforcing national and social values.
