GE Aerospace Donates US$100,000 to Support Education, Community Development Across the Gulf

GE Aerospace has announced a US$100,000 donation to support non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, reinforcing its commitment to education, youth development, and community welfare in the Gulf.

The funding will support initiatives focused on STEM education, community assistance, and children and youth development, while complementing the wider humanitarian efforts of the GE Aerospace Foundation, which has committed approximately US$2 million for global relief programmes in 2026.

Supporting Communities Across the Gulf

The donations will benefit organisations working across three key areas:

  1. Omniyat People of Determination Rehabilitation Center – supporting children, People of Determination, and their families through educational, rehabilitative, therapeutic, and social integration programmes.
  2. Royati Family Society – strengthening community support initiatives, including food box programmes for families, women, children, and workers.
  3. INJAZ Al-Arab / Junior Achievement (JA) MENA – expanding STEM education and encouraging young people across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the wider region to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and related fields.

Focus on Youth Development and STEM Education

Aziz Koleilat, President and CEO of GE Aerospace for the Middle East, Pakistan, Türkiye, and the CIS, said the company remains committed to supporting the communities where its employees live and work.

He noted that the latest contributions aim to broaden access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education while strengthening community programmes that help children and young people develop essential skills, confidence, and opportunities for future success.

Global Humanitarian Support

In addition to the regional donations, the GE Aerospace Foundation has allocated approximately US$2 million to support humanitarian organisations during 2026.

The funding will benefit global relief partners including:

  1. Airlink
  2. Red Cross / Red Crescent
  3. Team Rubicon
  4. World Central Kitchen

The foundation said the funding will support humanitarian operations worldwide, including relief efforts in Gaza, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Long-Term Commitment to the Middle East

GE Aerospace has operated in the Middle East for more than 40 years, supporting the region's aviation industry through advanced technologies and local partnerships.

The company employs more than 220 people representing over 40 nationalities across the region, with teams based in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar working to advance aviation innovation and support the future of flight.

The latest donations form part of GE Aerospace's broader strategy of investing in education, community development, and humanitarian initiatives that contribute to long-term social and economic progress across the Gulf.
