Dubai Customs pitches in 10 projects at Government Achievements Exhibition 2015
Dubai Customs is set totake part in the 3rd edition of Dubai Government Achievements Exhibition (DGAE) 2015 with 10 new projects that were developed to further streamline Customs procedures for passengers and consignments, while at the same time keeping both the economy and the community safe.
Dubai Customs Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence, Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim said the in-house developed projects will further boost the UAEs competitive edge on the global landscape, by cutting short the time needed for Customs formalities and expediting passengers flow.
Organised by the Dubai Government Excellence Program, DGAE 2015 will take place on March 30th through April 1st at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Kazim pointed out that the DGAE is a leading government initiative that allows government departments in Dubai to showcase their achievements and keeps the public abreast of public efforts exerted to deliver top-notch customer services.
DCs participation at DGAE 2015 is in line with the states drive to mark 2015 as the Year of Innovation, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, and is in keeping with the National Innovation Strategy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Kazim added.
On the other side, Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication at Dubai Customs, noted that DC is pitching in 10 smart projects at the exhibition. They are Smart Phone Services, Virtual Corridor, Risk Engine, Advanced Container Scanning System (ACSS) and Post Clearance Audit (PCA), which were all implemented and reaped impressive results, besides to new innovations that will be implemented in the near future, namely Amphibious Craft, Safe Customs Inspector, Inspection Motor Trike, and Smart Customs Inspection System, whose details will be announced at the exhibition.
