Dubai Culture celebrates 43rd UAE National Day

Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirates dedicated governmental entity for promoting heritage, culture and the arts, celebrated the 43rd UAE National Day with festive activities at Zayed Bin Sultan School for Basic Education and Dubai Public Library in Al Twar and Al Safa.

Attended by Dubai Cultures employees, the event at the Zayed Bin Sultan School was organised in association with the Dubai Centre for Heritage Development. Several heritage, cultural and patriotic activities celebrating the UAE National Day and embodying the Spirit of the Union were held.

The programme also included the opening of Zayed Bin Sultan Centre for Heritage Development; a dedicated cultural center that focuses on nurturing the rich and deep rooted Emirati heritage. Folk performances inspired by the maritime and natural environments of the UAE and a review of Heritage Development Centres activities all took place. An exhibition of Dubai Cultural Centres products was also held. Dubai Culture wrapped up the festivities by serving traditional Emirati dishes and distributing National Day gifts to the participating employees.

At Dubai Public Library, Dubai Culture set up two public tents in Al Twar and Al Safa where Ayala dancers gave riveting traditional Emirati performances. Henna painting, traditional Emirati dishes, childrens entertainment and UAE flag balloon formations were also held.
