Dubai Conference Explores Quality and Business Excellence in the Age of AI
The Dubai Quality Group (DQG), under the sponsorship of the Digital Dubai Authority, hosted the “Quality and Business Excellence in the Era of AI” conference at Al Habtoor Palace Dubai, bringing together leading policymakers, executives, AI specialists, governance experts, and digital transformation leaders to discuss the future of quality management and proactive governance in an AI-driven world.
Held under the theme “Safe Future: Quality Engineering and Proactive Governance,” the conference served as a platform for exchanging insights, best practices, and strategies related to governance, risk management, compliance frameworks, and total quality management. The event aligned with national agendas and smart government initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, resilience, and sustainable digital transformation.
Focus on Smart Quality Engineering and AI Governance
The conference featured interactive discussions across three primary themes:
- Smart quality engineering and value creation
- AI governance and international compliance standards
- Future readiness through talent development and capability building
Participants explored how organizations can leverage emerging technologies while maintaining strong governance frameworks and operational excellence.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Hazza Khalfan Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of embedding quality and proactive governance into organizational culture.
He noted that the conference reflects DQG’s ongoing commitment to advancing agile governance, strengthening AI governance frameworks, and promoting global best practices in smart quality engineering. The conference featured four major sessions addressing key challenges and opportunities associated with AI adoption.
The opening session, “Capability Building and Alignment with National Agendas,” was moderated by Sultan Al Kaabi and included contributions from:

The second session, “Challenges of Business Excellence in the Age of AI,” moderated by Ahmed Al Mahmood, featured discussions from:

A dedicated workshop on Agentic AI was delivered by Dr. Samira Shaloh, providing participants with practical insights into next-generation AI systems and their organizational applications.

- The evolution from Total Quality Management (TQM) to integrated government excellence ecosystems
- The use of AI-powered agents for real-time auditing and deviation detection
