Amplifai Health selected for World Economic Forum MINDS programme to advance real-world AI in healthcare
Amplifai Health, a health technology company specialising in thermal imaging and artificial intelligence for chronic disease management and sports medicine, has been selected to join the World Economic Forum’s MINDS programme (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions).
Through its inclusion in the programme, Amplifai Health joins a global cohort of organisations recognised for moving artificial intelligence beyond experimentation into measurable, real-world impact. The cohort includes leading multinational organisations such as Siemens, Lenovo, Sanofi, and KPMG, among others.
The MINDS programme highlights AI solutions that have progressed past pilot stages and proof-of-concept deployments to deliver tangible value across industries, with a strong emphasis on responsible, scalable, and people-centred innovation.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, Amplifai Health has deployed an AI-powered thermal imaging solution designed to support diabetic foot risk screening. The initiative has delivered notable clinical and operational outcomes, including up to an 80 per cent reduction in treatment costs related to diabetic foot complications and a twelve-fold increase in screening capacity without a corresponding rise in specialist workforce requirements. The solution has also achieved clinical validation, regulatory approval, and deployment within operational healthcare environments.
These results demonstrate how responsible AI adoption can enhance clinical decision-making, expand access to preventive care, and improve overall health system efficiency.
Maria Basso, Head of AI Applications and Impact at the World Economic Forum’s Centre for AI Excellence, said the MINDS programme recognises AI solutions that are both innovative and aligned with societal needs. She noted that participating organisations illustrate how AI can deliver tangible value when designed with people at the centre and deployed responsibly at scale.
Dr Meshari Alwashmi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Amplifai Health, said the selection reflects the company’s commitment to integrating AI thoughtfully into real-world healthcare settings. He added that the partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health demonstrates how innovation can align with public health priorities to generate measurable benefits for patients and providers.
Amplifai Health also acknowledged the continued support of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), and strategic ecosystem partners contributing to the advancement of AI-driven healthcare solutions.
