Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility has announced the appointment of Lucas Bellieud as its new Managing Director. With over 25 years of international automotive leadership, Bellieud will drive the company’s strategic growth and strengthen its role in supporting the UAE’s transition towards sustainable mobility.

In his new role, Bellieud will oversee Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility’s operations across its portfolio of leading electric vehicle brands, including BYD and Polestar. He will also lead initiatives in the rollout of charging equipment and infrastructure, ensuring a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the adoption of electrified transport in the UAE.

Bellieud’s career includes senior leadership positions at Renault, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, Aftersales Director, and Commercial Director. His extensive global experience across Europe, Latin America, and Turkey has given him deep insights into the rapid transformation of the mobility sector, particularly in the field of electrification.

Commenting on his appointment, Bellieud said: “I am honoured to join Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility at such a pivotal time. The UAE has set a clear vision to become a global reference in sustainable mobility, and Al-Futtaim is determined to be at the forefront of this transformation.
