The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has launched a five-day promotional roadshow in China to strengthen tourism partnerships and explore new collaboration opportunities. The tour, led by His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of ADTD, will run until September 26, 2025, visiting three major Chinese cities: Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen.

H.E. Alhashmi highlighted that the initiative is part of ADTD’s ongoing efforts to position Ajman at the centre of the global tourism map. “Ajman’s tourism sector is experiencing accelerated growth, and this tour allows us to showcase our natural, cultural, and entertainment treasures, positioning the emirate as a world-class destination,” he said.

The delegation aims to reinforce cooperation with key players in China, sign agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs), and highlight Ajman’s unique tourism offerings. By showcasing immersive experiences that reflect authentic Emirati hospitality, ADTD seeks to expand Ajman’s footprint into untapped markets and drive sustainable tourism growth.

The roadshow also emphasizes economic benefits, with expectations to boost hotel revenues, create employment opportunities, and attract increased tourism investments. Through these efforts, Ajman is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable tourism development and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the UAE and China.
