The 2024 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards (Marinas Edition), held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, celebrated the outstanding contributions and achievements of marinas across the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye (MENAT region). Organized by Abu Dhabi Maritime, part of the AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Mobility, the awards were announced during the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS).

This year’s event saw record-breaking participation, with 120 submissions from eight countries, tripling the entries from the previous edition. The ceremony showcased exceptional efforts in customer experience, innovation, sustainability, health and safety, and overall marina excellence.

Driving Excellence in Maritime

Dr. Saif Al Nasri of the Department of Municipalities and Transport highlighted the awards’ role in supporting outstanding achievements in health, safety, innovation, and sustainability. He noted, “These awards are a testament to Abu Dhabi’s growing stature as a global maritime hub.”

Captain Saif Al Mheiri, CEO of Abu Dhabi Maritime and Chief Sustainability Officer at AD Ports Group, emphasized the event’s role in inspiring progress in the maritime sector. He stated, “The Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards aim to foster innovation and sustainable practices, promoting regional marinas and strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a premier global maritime hub.”

The event underscored Abu Dhabi Maritime’s commitment to safeguarding waterways and elevating maritime standards in the region, reinforcing the emirate’s role as a leader in the global maritime landscape.
