7th Edition of Legislative Week Concludes in Dubai, Sets Roadmap for Flexible and Proactive Legislative Ecosystem
The seventh edition of Legislative Week, organised by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Legislation Committee (SLC) in Dubai, concluded after three days of dialogue and collaboration focused on strengthening the emirate’s future legislative framework.
Held under the theme “Legislation Empowering Family and Society for a Prosperous Future,” the 2026 edition brought together legal experts, legislators, and government stakeholders to explore forward-looking approaches to lawmaking. Discussions focused on family stability, social protection, quality of life, and sustainable development, aligned with Dubai’s long-term vision.
According to the SLC, the event functioned as both an intellectual platform and a practical engagement forum aimed at shaping the next phase of Dubai’s legislative development.
H.E. Dr. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the SLC, said the latest edition established the foundation for a more flexible, impact-driven legislative model. He noted that the outcomes and recommendations will be translated into proactive initiatives supporting Dubai’s legislative excellence journey.
He added that the programme reflects Dubai’s commitment to building a people-centred legislative benchmark, supported by frameworks designed to anticipate future needs. He also acknowledged the contributions of government entities, legal specialists, and participating stakeholders.
