Yango Ride Distributes UAE Flags to Support National Unity Initiative

Yango Ride, part of Yango Group, has distributed thousands of UAE flags to passengers and partner drivers across the country in support of a national call for unity.

The initiative was launched in response to a call by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, encouraging citizens and residents to raise the UAE flag as a symbol of pride, solidarity, and national unity.

Through the campaign, drivers handed out UAE flags during rides, enabling passengers to actively participate in the initiative and contribute to a shared national moment. The effort also aimed to reinforce a sense of belonging among the UAE’s diverse population, which represents more than 200 nationalities.

Islam Abdul Karim, Regional Head of Yango Group Middle East, said the initiative reflects the UAE’s people-centric vision and commitment to fostering unity. He highlighted how partner drivers played a key role in helping communities engage in a meaningful yet simple gesture that brings people together.

The campaign aligns with Yango’s broader community-focused approach in the UAE, where mobility platforms are increasingly used not only to facilitate transportation but also to encourage social engagement and shared experiences.

According to Yango’s Mobility Report 2025, Dubai’s public transport, shared mobility, and taxi services handled over 747 million riders in 2024, averaging more than 2 million daily trips—demonstrating the scale at which mobility platforms interact with residents and visitors.

The “Raising a Flag for UAE” initiative underscores how everyday services can play a role in strengthening national identity and community spirit, particularly during moments that call for unity and collective participation.
